The Dogs and Me

A lifetime of loving animals led to my involvement in animal welfare in 2001. Over the years, I have obtained my CPDT
(Certified Professional Dog Trainer)
as well as becoming a level 1
Tellington Touch
practitioner. I have also completed a Diploma in Canine Fitness from CASI
(Companion Animal Sciences Institute)
and am a member of CCPDT, attending conferences for
CCPDT
and APDT.On the hiking side, I have been hiking in the Rocky Mountains for 30 years as well as other parts of Canada. I am certified as an Outdoor Leader for level 1 hiking terrain by the
Outdoor Council of Canada
and have my Apprentice Hiking Guide Certification from the
Interpretive Guides Associaiton
I currently share my life with 3 canines: a shepherd cross, a greyhound cross and an Australian cattle dog. I am blessed to live very close to the Rocky Mountains and the 4 of us take full advantage of the hiking opportunities that abound there. Hope to see you on the trails or in private training with us some day soon. Joyce Walkerdine, Bsc., CPDT-KA. Owner of Dog Hiking Canada
